I am officially a Macbook owner. No more PC for me. It is taking getting used to, but I already see the advantages of Mac to PC, I absolutely love it. That was my Christmas, and I can say I needed this gift. I had two computers, both on their last legs. My desktop was, don't laugh a computer my husband had in 2001, it is still kicking but barely. I can't even play youtube videos on it. The other computer is a laptop. It was another computer my husband had, he upgraded, I got it. It had a hard life and died on me earlier this year. This is my first non hand me down computer. I guess I could count my computer I got when I was living at home, back in the 1990s, but I had to share it with my little brother, so it doesn't count.

What are the advantages? I've been considering getting a Mac, but I don't know anyone who has one who is able to give me a first hand account of why they're better.
I've been reading your blog for awhile and I understand the Mac thing. I am a college student and I just converted. It's my first as well. Be patient and the Mac will be good to you.
Cool beans! I've had a Mac since 2002. The one I had was still running fine but wasn't compatible with the wifi security my landlord was using. I got a new one in September. It's big and beautiful. I love not really having to worry about viruses etc. And my old Mac held up much better than the PCs I had. It never lost processing speed or got "weird" like the PCs did.

I really don't know, my last laptop was a Toshiba and it overheated if I had it on for longer than three hours. This computer I have left on all day and not one time has it overheated on me in the two weeks I have been playing on it. That makes it better just for that alone. I like the Leopard OS system though, really nice to navigate, easy to keep a clean desktop (I hate a ton of icons all over my desktop).
