I like a lot of people do New Years resolutions, most of them I never stick with. I am making up my list once again, but this time I plan to come up with a plan of action for each thing on my list. I will probably blog about each of these more on detail later on.
1. Lose weight, get in shape, eat healthier
2. Spend less time on the internet
3. Ween myself back off of television
4. Go back to school to get my master's
5. Decide what I really want to do when I grow up
6. Save and manage money better
7. Do things on my own more, if I want to go to an art show I can do it by myself, I will not deny myself simply because my husband doesn't want to go, or I can't find anyone to go with me. I need to learn to be more independent and develop my own interests more.
8. Decide if I really want kids, or if I am just wanting kids due to family pressure.
9. Learn to listen more, and try to understand different points of views a little bit better.
10. Try to not equate money or career to success

I am so with you on 1 and 6. As a matter of fact number 1 was on my list last year.
As far as doing things on your own, I say its a good thing. I am very independent. I travel by myself.
Boy o' Boy!! Number one is always on my list. I just think I will focus on being healthier, instead of focusing on weight loss. Saving more money is also on my list too!!
Yeah I need to focus on my weight and quit eating so much fast food. I am going to focus on taking my lunch to work that way I can control what I eat and how much I spend.
I always do these lists but never stick with them. The goal this time is to stick to at least some of them. Especially the independent part. I think often times than not I don't do things because I know my husband won't want to do them. It is ok he doesn't want to do them, but I should do them if I want to, even if it is by myself. Before we were married I would go to movies and eat by myself all the time. Now I hardly ever do. I have missed a ton of movies to see because I know my husband wouldn't like them
I wanna do better in school. And be a better friend. Eat healthier (but it's so hard living on campus!!), and exercise more (meaning, going from zilch to once-in-a-while, lmao!).
Siditty,
Have you been to sparkpeople.com? That is a good resource for fitness stuff. They even give personalized diet plans for free. Good luck with all of those! I read one thing that helps is to work on specific goals for each thing such as: I'm going to have 3 servings of vegetables today as opposed to "I'm going to eat better today". Good luck!
I go to the movies alone all the time. Go out and see all the good ones.
I think I need to make "Age Ain't Nothing But A Number" my anthem for 2008...lol.
I'm feeling old while reading one of my favorite blogs again...lol.
You know the one. :-)

1,2,3,6,9, and 10 are on my list too. I've been having a really hard time with 10 since being laid off earlier this year. I'd have to also add learn spanish and a ton of other stuff to my list. I hope we can all reach our goals this year.
I've been lurking on your blog for a while and I love it. We seem to have some things in common.

Yeah I got fired for the Holidays, thankfully I was able to find something really quick. But that experience has got me thinking, I so need to get my Master's degree. In something I want to do, not just something that will bring in money.
I wanna do something I really like, not something I just fell into like the glamorous world of insurance.
