I saw that one recently....spot on, indeed!

t-hype: It looks like it's done in "Doonesbury" style...so it might be done by their creator....just guessing here...

Yeap! Spot on. The reverse racism argument can be used by the whites that never made it to the top. And with the system still tilted against blacks they still have a way to the top then they will argue that they made it by themselves thus confirming reverse racism.

Sadly true in many ways, but you must also look at history of the world. AA are not the only people who were slaves or that built a society. look at egypt they built wonders of the world off of jewish slaves and the irish imagrants from the early 1900's or so who worked the docks with little or no paywhen they got to america. Sadly slavery has been around for a very long time. but I have to say it's just not right. being a mutt of a white guy that I am I don't go for the race garbage or slavery they are wrong in so many degrees. just my 2 cents.

I never understand why whenever someone attempts a discussion about the history of African-Americans, someone else always brings up the argument that AA's were not the only people to be enslaved. But the discussion is about how AA's were enslaved, no one ever says that others were not. Just always wondered why the history of other people is always brought into the discussion.

Lanna,
I agree. When people discuss The Holocaust, no one ever says, "Well other people had genocide committed
against them.

Then there's usually the companion comment about how Africans were involved in the slave trade and mentioning of whatever bad deeds are still being done there and/or in the black community as though that somehow mitigates slavery, Jim Crow, and continuing discrimination in America.
