Today it is raining, gloomy, and just a plain old good day to sit around and do nothing. I am on my laptop, my husband is on his, he is playing some freaked out copy of Monkey Island, I am playing the Sims, and we are watching a national geographic show on time travel with Michio Kaku. Yeah we are nerds.
Every since I could remember I preferred nerds or geeks to jocks or preppy guys. I really can't say that as my husband is a great undercover geek, but give me a tall guy with some geeky glasses and I drool, no lie. Ironically the jocks and preppy guys are the ones who usually approach. I prefer a guy into music, movies, or art over a guy into football and basketball. I mean some sports are ok, and I will admit I have limits to nerd and geek like traits or characteristics, but for the most part I am all about the nerds.

i'm not too into nerds lol. when i was dating i was always more into the surfer blond hair blue eyed dude with tattoos everywhere. unfortunately there was only one who was into me, he was gorgeous but that was before i was secure enough to date outside of my race--needless to say i was so scared that he never approached me because he probably felt like i thought he had two heads or something.
when i was single my motto was, "show me a guy who can wear beige shorts from old navy and sandals and have decent feet, or one that can wear adidas track pants and a fitted baseball cap that actually fits and i'm sold!"
I am nerd in my hunger for knowledge... uhh does that count?

I've had the biggest crush on nerds for the longest time. During my teens guys with braces did it for me. I don't know why. You have the best conversations with 'nerds'. There is nothing more stimulating that a man with a brain. I must admit nerds are thrown out of the window for Cristiano Ronaldo because he is mighty fine

Even more sexy, he freaking knits per his profile on BME, of course too he stretches his nipples, I can't get down with that type of body modification. Oh well. I love nerdy guys, but I'm not into tats. But so many guy tat now a days, I guess I have to be reasonable.
Funny post. =) My hubby is actually a former nerd, I almost turned him down when he asked me out because well the kid didn't care for nerds. That first date lasted hours and 13 years later we are still together. I always tell him he owes my Mama (rest her soul) who told me not to turn him down on the basis of his geekdom.
Seriously, prior to meeting the hubby, I liked pretty boys and jocks and an occasional intellectual.
Must say though a nerd worked for me.
I like guys who are well-read. Intelligence is so sexy to me.
