OK I am so lying when I was in college aside from freshman and sophomore year, I had no social life either. Saturday nights were dedicated to blockbuster and I thought fun was going to the bookstore and drinking a coffee while browsing books. I've never really had a social life. So sad.
Dude, grad school will kill you! I'm taking a class on the American Revolution and it's read a book a week (300-400 pages )and write a paper about it. Fifteen weeks=fifteen books!!! In one class!
Damn how much can one read on the American Revolution. That is crazy. That professor is just trying to scare yall, I am sure they haven't even read that much on the American Revolution. ;)

Yay SuperJV!!!!
You were missed!!!! Apparently you got you a hottie and forgot about us in cyberworld, but I understand not everyone lives their life vicariously through the internet like I do :)
c1, you know not everyone is going to finish all those pages in a week, so that lessens the load right there.have you formed a study group and divided up the reading and then get together and go over the outlines you made, that's what my bro did in law school he said it helped.
I just called my seven year old over to the computer and tried to explain the concept of the puppets on Pinwheel and Fraggle Rock, and he so wasn't on it. I felt young up until about thirty seconds ago.
Georgie I was too. I was 4 in 1980. There are people who post to this blog who were born in 1990, and it makes me sick to my stomach. I am going to be 33 next month.

You are only 13 yrs older then me....that's not old...much
Sid, were you into The Muppets at all?? And C-1, my best friends is in her first year of law school and I basically have not seen her in years. She has been in school forever-- I mean she has two degrees now and is considering getting a PhD. I call her a "Professional Student." But she never goes anywhere and says that school is killing her. I did Grad school when I was pregnant with my first son and it seemed like water torture when it came to doing group work. I hated that....
To C-1: For some reason, "Milk" is in limited distribution here. I guess the Bible-thumping homophobes would protest too much bringing it here to the Atlanta Suburbs. I have to drive 45 minutes to the city if I want to see it, which sucks, but the reviews have been very positive and I love Sean Penn and the movie trailer made me really want to see it.

Go out and watch a film. I strongly recommend "Slumdog Millionaire" or just buy and read the book. I'm sure it's big in the US too.
Lawd!! Fraggle Rock! OMGOodiness! That was my show when I was a kid!!
Damn, they just don't make children shows like this anymore!!!
I went and saw Milk and the Wrestler yesterday, both were excellent.
anonymous,
Thanks for that idea!
I have no comment about the post...just wanted to say I like the new background and the profile picture is very cute (the new picture with the baby).

I got you all beat.
I was watching most of those programs either as first run when they originally came out or watched them as reruns with my son.
Good luck with the studying to whoever's still in college.

Enjoy your saturday nights...
Picture Pages!!!! Great space coaster!!!! Pinwheel!!!
I remember begging for picture pages and never got them. I think my grandmother realized that I was too old for them.
This post really made my day. All I need now is the intro to Belle and Sabastian and the Electric Company.
Okay, everyone just made me feel really old right now.
I'm 43, but after reading these comments, I feel ten years older than that.
Thanks.

Do you have to do group work?
