Omg, I loved her! She was my favorite Golden Girl! I am definitely feeling this. But she seemed to have lived a nice prosperous life. She will be well missed.
I am planning on buying the complete set so I would never laugh. I am kinda of tired of re-renting them from netflix :) I would like to think Bea and Estelle are hanging out still cracking jokes.
Dorothy was so sarcastic and had the best lines on The Golden Girls. I was just a kid loving it during the show's original run. Dare the networks air another show starring "women of a certain age?" It seems like the 70s and 80s were so much more progressive on network TV. Anyway, love Bea Arthur. Looking for Golden Girl reruns now!
I loved that show. I think that it came on Saturday nights. I watch the reruns too. Estelle Getty was hilarious as Sofia. I think she died last year. It's sad-- like part of my childhood is gone.
I have all 7 seasons of the Golden Girls and Bea Arthur was by far my favorite. I even used to watch Maude re-runs late at night growing up. Her one woman show was also entertaining. I will miss her but at least she is no longer in pain.

I'm a huge fan of the Golden Girls myself. Still love watching the re-runs. Bea Arthur was my favorite, hands down.
RIP. She was - and still is - loved.
It's a shame Maude and those other Norman Lear shows had more bite than anything out today.
