Rest in peace, Naomi Sims.La Reyna
R.I.P. Naomi Sims. She was very beautiful
What a loss of such a beautiful and glamorous woman. RIP.
I remember staring at the covers of these and other magazines with her image back in the day. I so admired her grace and beauty. For a brown girl growing up in Cleveland, she represented what was achievable. Thank you, Ms. Naomi.
Why haven't I heard more about her? This is my first time hearing her name.
Here's a nice, in-depth article about her life."Why haven't I heard more about her? This is my first time hearing her name."I've heard of her before, but had a basic knowledge of who she was. The article I linked has a lot more info I didn't know, but there's still more I'd love to learn. There were quite a few Black models in the '60s, and the information on them is very limited.
