Sweet Soul Sister, I TOTALLY agree with you. If you look at pics of BW/WM couples on the BW Empowerment blogs or observe real life BW/WM couples you see ALL types of BW (so called "average and above average BW" included) married to (so called "average and above average WM").

Wow...I'm amazed that the guy in the first video just lumps ALL black women into the category of uneducated, ebonics speaking, out of shape women. Not all black women are the same, just not all black men are the same.
Coming from the slightly international perspective, I must point out that here in London interracial relationships between "average" men and women of different races is fairly common. I suspect the guy in the first video is coming from a very limited perspective.
And on a slightly different note, I'm tired of blanket statements like: white men treat black women so much better, all black men are dogs, all black women are loud/have attitudes, all white women are trashy, etc. Refuting one (false) blanket statement with another (false) blanket statement is ridiculous.
I remember when you used to say that the DBR BM blogs were obsessed about what BM think about IR dating. Now it seems as if you are now in lock step. Showing YouTube videos of crazy people does not translate to how all BM think about BW. Truth be told, a lot of BW could care less about what BM think and vice versa. I really do enjoy your blog. I'm sorry to unleash, but people seem to feel the need to nitpick and bitch and moan, and between being called a racist from whites, a black man defender from the Halima, Sara, Evia camp, a black man hater from Menelik Charles and his cohorts, and called out my name by all people, I just don't have patience anymore.
I'm actually so happy that I was bought up on a Caribbean Island and then lived in the UK for the past 11 yrs... I'm so happy that my parents never moved to the US of A.
All these videos I'm now seeing on this blog is new to me. It was not until I subcribe to this blog that I realise the many baggages and issues that African American has.
Love is love... you can't question it, can't try and make it into logic and boxed it up in labels based on skin tone and ethnicity.
I'm happy that I have grown up and also know some amazing black men, mixed men, asian men, turkish men, white men, european men etc..
Men are men.. no matter the race.. There's a good men and bad men. sometimes, you might meet a bad man, but should not label the whole race is bad. This experience, even though it was bad, should only make you more wiser and less cautious when u choose the next time.
These people will all their youtube videos of negativity and hate should find something better to do with their time. The devil always find work for idle hands.
You can't put all black women in the same box.. we come in all shapes, sizes, intelligence, hobbies, passion and beauty.
I would never like my kids to grow up in America... I'd hate them to have some chip on their shoulders that seem to be prevalent. We all should be united as people, no matter our experiences and colour.
